The TOP Strategy for Retaining Your Employees

Want to know the TOP strategy for retaining your employees?
Actively prioritizing, discussing, and catering your organizational policies to support their mental health.
The pandemic highlighted the importance of mental health in the workforce in a way we’ve never seen before. According to research conducted by Wiley, adjusting company policy to support mental health had the strongest impact on lowering employee stress levels through the pandemic.
If you haven’t adjusted yours yet, it must become a top priority. Here’s swiftly and effectively evaluate your company policies and organizational culture:
1) Learn your employees’ strengths, weaknesses, and motivators – as well as how to use this information to better support them. (Using DiSC Assessments for this step will help you get a bigger, more thorough picture. It’ll also help you save time and money by removing the need for one-on-ones.)
2) Use this information to create a list of improvements you can make to your company’s culture (professional development programs, cognitive behavioral therapy, personalized check-ins, etc) to better support) – then ask your employees what changes they’d find most valuable.
3) Increase the amount of PTO and mental health days. (According to Wiley’s research, this has been THE most effective policy change for retention.)
Making these adjustments can be scary to do on your own. You want to be sure you’re spending your money, time, and energy in the right places.
